WHAT IS ROSH HASHANAH
The anniversary of the creation of Adam and Eve, a day of judgment and coronation, the sounding of the shofar . . .
"Jewish tradition believes that Adam was created on this day (Mishnah, San Hedrin 38b).
How did they decide that this was the day of the year the world was created? Because the first words of the Book of Genesis (Bereishit), "in the beginning," when changed around, read, Aleph b'Tishrei, or "on the first of Tishrei."
Therefore, Yom Teruah is known as the birthday of Adam," source unknown.
Yom Teruah occurs on Aleph b' tishrei - on the first of Tishrei - Hebrew name for this month.
The Mishnah associates Rosh Hashanah with the anniversary of creation, and in particular the creation of our first father, Adam:
Vayikra (Lev) 23:23-25
B’midbar (Num) 10:1-10 use them for.
Num 10:2 "Make two trumpets; make them of hammered silver. Use them for summoning the community and for sounding the call to break camp and move on.
Num 10:3
There are four different sounds associated with the blowing of the shofar during the Yom Teruah service. These sounds are interpreted as follows:
1. TEKIAH - A pure unbroken sound that calls man to search his heart, forsake his wrong ways, and seek forgiveness through repentance.
2. SHEBARIM - A broken, staccato, trembling sound. It typifies the sorrow that comes to man when he realizes his misconduct and desires to change his ways.
3. TERUAH - A wave-like sound of alarm calling upon man to stand by the banner of HaShem.
4. TEKIAH GEDOLAH - The prolonged, unbroken sound typifying a final appeal to sincere repentance and atonement.

Remembering the difference between Yom Teruah and Rosh Hashanah
Yom Teruah is about remembering
To make a choice to walk with Yehovah and not go back to the pagan people
To not want to go back to slavery of man
Yom Teruah is about hearing, turning, walking in truth
Making thing right between you and others
