HB004 Shavuot 2024 “Bread from your home”

SYNOPSIS: What are
the purpose of THE HOLY DAYS? Why does Yehovah want us to still keep them? In
this Holy day message were looking at Shavout (Feast of weeks “Pentecost”). Why
is this a Holy day that does not have a specific date associated with it? What
is so important about counting? What is so important about bringing bread from
each of our homes? What is the last day implication of this Holy day for the
entire world?
BIBLE VERSE: Vayikra 23:15-17 counting why do we have to count if it is a set

Vayikra (Lev) 15:16 count seven days. B’midbar (Num) 3:14-15 is your home a home

His word. B’resheet 14:18-20 give back to the King of Righteousness and He will

BIBLE VERSE: Vayikra 23:15-17 counting why do we have to count if it is a set

Lev 23:15 " 'From the day after the day of rest — that is, from the day you
bring the sheaf for waving — you are to count seven full weeks,
Lev 23:16 until the day after the seventh week; you are to count fifty days; and
then you are to present a new grain offering to Adonai.

Vayikra (Lev) 15:16 count seven days.
Lev 15:13 " 'When a person with a discharge has become free of it, he is to
count seven days for his purification. Then he is to wash his clothes and bathe
his body in running water; after that, he will be clean.
B’midbar (Num) 3:14-15 is your home a home for the Cohanim?
Num 3:14 Adonai said to Moshe in the Sinai Desert,
Num 3:15 "Take a census of the tribe of Levi by clans and families. Count every
male a month old or over."

Gen 14:18 Malki-Tzedek king of Shalem brought out bread and wine. He was cohen
of El `Elyon [God Most High],
Gen 14:19 so he blessed him with these words: "Blessed be Avram by El `Elyon,
maker of heaven of earth.
Gen 14:20 and blessed be El `Elyon, who handed your enemies over to you." Avram
gave him a tenth of everything.
B’resheet 18:1-5 The promise of Elohim for your home
Gen 18:1 Yehovah appeared to Avraham by the oaks of Mamre as he sat at the
entrance to the tent during the heat of the day.
Gen 18:2 He raised his eyes and looked, and there in front of him stood three
men. On seeing them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, prostrated himself
on the ground,
Gen 18:3 and said, "My lord, if I have found favor in your sight, please don't
leave your servant.
Gen 18:4 Please let me send for some water, so that you can wash your feet; then
rest under the tree,
Gen 18:5 and I will bring a piece of bread. Now that you have come to your
servant, refresh yourselves before going on." "Very well," they replied, "do
what you have said."

Kadosh Set apart means H6942 קדש qâdash BDB Definition: to consecrate,
sanctify, prepare, dedicate, be hallowed, be holy, be sanctified, be separate
Exo 20:12 ה "Honor your father and mother, so that you may live long in the land
which Adonai your God is giving you.

Blessed are you, Yehovah Elohim, ruler of the Universe, who keeps us alive, who
supports the unfolding of our uniqueness, and who has enabled us to reach this
season.
The blessing that is over the two loaves of bread is:
Baruch atah Yehovah, Elohaynu melek ha-olam, ha motzi lechem men ha’aretz
Blessed are You, Yehovah Elohim, king of the universe Who brings forth bread
from the earth.
