For almost 1500 years January 1 was celebrating the supposed circumcision of the Messiah. Then it changed from that to the feast of Mary. Then it changed into something totally different from that. It was now a day when old things had past and we walk into a new year to start fresh. We go through a new gate into something fresh and new.
Isa 1:19 If you are
willing and obedient, you will eat the good of the land;
Isa 1:20 but if you refuse and rebel, you will be eaten by the sword"; for the mouth of Adonai has spoken.
Isa 1:21 How the faithful city has become a whore! Once she was filled with justice, righteousness lodged in her; but now murderers!
This past week before the new year the northeast of the USA was hit with a tremendous amount of snow. It was beautiful and it reminded me of how when we accept Yeshua as Messiah He washes away our sins and makes us a white a snow. But just like that snow that was once beautiful, pure and white the longer it stays out with the elements of the world the dirtier it gets. Are you like that snow?
