It is not just about the Chick-fil-A sandwich it is much more than most people biblically understand. The first question we must ask, is God in charge of all things? If you answered yes, you are correct. To get a greater understanding of why the Lord would use a business like chick-fil-A that for all intensive purposes sells only chicken. Why not McDonalds or Wendy’s they sell chicken? They also sell other things. To understand the greater message that God is trying to tell the body of Messiah and contrary to popular belief there is a MUCH MORE PROFOUND MESSAGE that we need to see! To get that message you have to have a Hebrew Roots understanding of the bible. There are only TWO references to the word CHICKEN in the bible Mat. 23:37 and Luke 13:34.

Mat 23:37 "Yerushalayim! Yerushalayim! You kill the prophets! You stone those who are sent to you! How often I wanted to gather your children, just as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, but you refused!

Mat 23:39 For I tell you, from now on, you will not see me again until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of Adonai.' "

To understand this passage a person must first understand whom is talking and who is that person talking to. The person who is talking in this passage of Mattiyahu (Mat) is the Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) Himself. We must remember that Messiah Yeshua is not a Baptist, Catholic, Evangelical or any of the other 1200 forms of Christianity. Messiah Yeshua is an Israelite “A Jew”. Yeshua in this passage is not speaking to the Christian Church but to fellow Israelites “Jews”. Yeshua then uses some words that to the western world or the Romanized Church they would truly not understand the prophetic nature of the Chick-fil-A sandwich. There are 7 key words that we will look at in a Messianic way. The word GATHER, the word CHILDREN, the word CHICKEN, The phrase UNDER HER WINGS, and finally REFUSED.
