405 The Younger Son
Jer_18:8 but if that nation turns from their evil, which prompted me to speak against it, then I relent concerning the disaster I had planned to inflict on it.
A long time ago Yehovah asked a reluctant Jew to go to a Gentile city and tell the people of that city to repent. The reluctant Jew was Yonah and the Gentile city Nineveh. The city heard the warning and was saved. Later in history Yehovah sends Jeremiah to a nation to tell it to repent. Lots of times we speak of repentance, but we really are not repentive. Many Christian leaders are speaking this way saying we need to repent. The great sadness is for years they have been preaching grace, grace, grace. If we are under grace what do we have to repent of? So we have to be repentive. Okay what does that mean to Yehovah? Some people will repent for maybe 5 minutes or so. Is that what God expects from us? Do we speak it with our mouth, but not follow through?
1Jn 2:3 The way we can be sure we know him is if we are obeying his commands.
1Jn 2:4 Anyone who says, "I know him," but isn't obeying his commands is a liar — the truth is not in him. 1Jn 2:5 But if someone keeps doing what he says, then truly love for God has been brought to its goal in him. This is how we are sure that we are united with him.
1Jn 2:6 A person who claims to be continuing in union with him ought to conduct his life the way he did.
God requires us to be a people of action not of one that give lip service, Sometimes that lip service can even be so eloquent in speech, or graceful in action, but behind closed doors it is a completely different person all together. Like a Dr. Jekyll and Mister Hyde, or Sybil type of mentality. This is not acceptable in the Kingdom of heaven. This kind of attitude is not who our King of kings and Lord of Lord is and He does not want this from us. Elohim knows exactly who we are and He is not happy. Yehovah is looking for hearts to change before the promise of destruction has come. Nineveh did it so can we, IF… PART 1: THE CALL OF THE TRUE FOLLOWERS. PART 2: IF MY PEOPLE WILL LISTEN CLOSELY.
