417 Morals & Values
SECTION 1: 2 OR 3 PEOPLE. How do we deal when there is a difference of opinion. What are the rules and what happens next? What does it mean to be of one mind?
SECTION 2: THE EVIL ONE MIND. For evil it seems easy to be echad with one another. Why is it so easy and so difficult for us? In the Acharit-hayamim evil has misguided people and will go against the King of kings. How does this happen if the light lives in us?
SECTION 3: MORAL BELIEFS. What Are Moral Beliefs? Moral beliefs are your individual definition of right and wrong. While some moral beliefs are shared by almost everyone, the overwhelming majority of moral beliefs are completely subjective --- what is right for one person may be wrong for another, and vice versa. So, the most important thing you need to understand is that the world and for the most part the church believes, moral beliefs is the fact that they are objective, and not set in stone. We will look at the WORD and see what Yehovah thinks.
SECTION 4: WHAT ARE VALUES. Important and lasting beliefs or ideals shared by the members of a culture about what is good or bad, desirable or undesirable. Most of us in the past learned our values - at home, at church or synagogue, at school. But, where are our children learning their values today? Maybe from parents, teachers and religious leaders, but society has changed. Too often young people today are most influenced by what they see and hear or see on television, radio, music videos, youtube, movies, video games or on the street. Values have major influence ona person's behavior and attitude and serve as broad guidelines in all situations. We will look how Scripture defines values.
SECTION 5: SET IN STONE. Are morals and values set in stone? Should they be? What happens when the stone or the monument gets removed or changed? What happens if that monument gets replaced by a new set of rules of covenant?
