545 Reminders from the Rock
B’resheet 6:5-8
SYNOPSIS: A look at 2nd Kefa. These incredible 2 letters give guidance for those living in his time and glimpse into what we should be acting like. In the second letter chapter 3 of 2nd Kefa it speaks about the acharit-hayamim and an incredibly scary verse that should make all us who know that there truly is a GOD in Heaven think seriously about our own feeble walk with Aveenu (Our Father).
SECTION 1: GRIEVED HIS HEART. One of the most powerful verse in all the bible is found in the book of B’resheet. In chapter 6 we are told something grieved The Father so much that He was sorry He ever made us. Can you imagine your own life ever doing so a grievous thing to King of all creation? See how this event that happened in the Gan Eden was spoken of by Yeshua with much more to it. See how this even ties together with had the time not been cut short and the rainbow.
SECTION 2: 2ND KEFA CHAPTER 1 & 2 (REMINDERS). Reminders are there so we don’t forget. Sticky notes, a string around your finger, an alarm on your smartphone these are all good. But can these things really save your soul. Kefa was a true student of the word and world just like ours. Don’t think just because they ancient world didn’t have internet and flushing toilets the same temptations didn’t exist. On the contrary they existed even more. As we will see in 2Kefa chapter 1 and 2.
SECTION 3: 2ND KEFA THE SCARY THIRD CHAPTER. (WHAT KIND OF LIFE). We start in and now will end with this chapter. THE BIG QUESTION what kind of life should you live?
