D’varim (Deut) 6:4-8

 

SYNOPSIS: Hello darkness, my old friend I've come to talk with you again Because a vision softly creeping. Left its seeds while I was sleeping. And the vision that was planted in my brain, Still remains Within the sound of silence

 

In restless dreams I walked alone. Narrow streets of cobblestone 'Neath the halo of a street lamp, I turned my collar to the cold and damp When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light. That split the night And touched the sound of silence

Deu 6:4  "Sh'ma, Yisra'el! Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai echad [Hear, Isra'el! Adonai our God, Adonai is one];

 

Deu 6:7  and you are to teach them carefully to your children. You are to talk about them when you sit at home, when you are traveling on the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

Tehillim (Ps) 58:1-2 Silence Grows

Psa 58:1  [For the leader. Set to "Do Not Destroy." By David, a mikhtam:] [Rulers,] does your silence really speak justice? Are you judging people fairly? Psa 58:2  [No!] In your hearts you devise wrongs, your hands dispense violence in the land.

 

Mishlei (Pro) 17:15 the silent abomination

Pro 17:15  He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous — both alike are an abomination to Adonai.

Jdg 2:16  But then Adonai raised up judges, who rescued them from the power of those who were plundering them.
