580 The City Gate

 

JUDGES 2:18

 

SYNOPSIS: How important is the gate of the city? In this teaching we will take a detailed look at the gate. What is the seven fold blessing, What is the fivefold blessing. What failures on the pain it causes at the gate We will also look judgment at the gate. But the only way to understand our jobs at the gat is to first understand the reason behind the “I desire obedience of sacrifice”.

 

THEME 1: TERRIBLE OFFERINGS THAT YOU THOUGHT WERE GOOD BECAUSE THE PEOPLE SAID SO. JUDGES 2:18, D’varim (Deut) 17:1, Vayikra (Lev) 3:6, Colossians 2:10-11, 1 Sam 15:1-23 you thought the offering was good, it has cancer, D’varim (Deut) 19:14

 

THEME 2: THE GATE IS WHERE EVENTS HAPPEN THAT ARE BOTH GOOD AND BAD. Yonah 3:1-10, Yonah 4:2, Ester 4:12-14 deliverance will come but what happens to you will be horrendous, B’resheet (Gn) 19:1, B’resheet 28:12-19 the gate of heaven is where covenants are made. Ruth 4:1-11 Redemption for the bride of Israel at the Gate of the Beit Lechem (house of bread), Yochanan (Jn) 18:16-17 The gate is where you become committed or coward, Sh’mot (Ex) 32:25-28

 

THEME 3: ONE PERSON TRAINED PROPERLY WITH A HEART FOR ELOHIM CAN CHANGE THINGS. IMAGINE A WHOLE GROUP. 2 Kings 21:10-15 Did what was incredibly evil from Yehovah’s point of view, 2Kings 22:1-20 hear the word and turns the kingdom back, 2 Kings 23:1-25 what good happens when a true man of God arises

 

JUDGES 2:18

Jdg 2:18  When Adonai raised up judges for them, Adonai was with the judge and delivered them from the hands of their enemies throughout the lifetime of the judge; for Adonai was moved to pity by their groaning under those oppressing and crushing them.

 

Deu 17:1  "You are not to sacrifice to Adonai your God a cow or sheep that has a defect or anything wrong with it; that would be an abomination to Adonai your God

Lev 3:6  " 'If his offering for a sacrifice of peace offerings to Adonai is from the flock, then, when he offers it, no matter whether it is male or female, it must be without defect.

 

Colossians 2:10-11 Circumcised Heart means giving and offering that does not have a defect according to Yehovah

Col 2:10  And it is in union with him that you have been made full — he is the head of every rule and authority. Col 2:11  Also it was in union with him that you were circumcised with a circumcision not done by human hands, but accomplished by stripping away the old nature's control over the body. In this circumcision done by the Messiah,

D’varim (Deut) 19:14

Deu 19:14  "You are not to move your neighbor's boundary marker from the place where people put it long ago, in the inheritance soon to be yours in the land Adonai your God is giving you to possess.

B’resheet 28:12-19 the gate of heaven is where covenants are made.

THE GATE IS WHERE PROMISES ARE MADE AND PROMISES ARE KEPT

 

Gen 28:12  He dreamt that there before him was a ladder resting on the ground with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of Adonai were going up and down on it.
