626 Why did Yeshua say He will divide families?

SYNOPSIS: Why did Yeshua say He will divide families? Let me assure you it is not solely on His Messiahship. In fact that is an extremely smart part of why Yeshua said those words. In the Shabbat teaching we are going to look at why in Mattiyahu 10 it says “Enemies in your own home” and in Luke 12 it says “A divided house”. Is this a contradiction or does one gospel look at the diamond different? Take the time to partake of this Shabbat feast of knowledge.

 

THEME 1: RIGHT IN THEIR OWN EYES. Many people say I am basically a good person. The Book of Proverbs confirms this interesting thought, but not the way you are thinking. 2Co 5:9  Therefore, whether at home or away from home, we try our utmost to please him; 2Co 5:10  for we must all appear before the Messiah's court of judgment, where everyone will receive the good or bad consequences of what he did while he was in the body.

11) V54-57 you can interpret the weather did you choose to be part of Yeshua  family

Luk 12:57  Why don't you decide for yourselves what is the right course to follow?

 

12) V58-59 the lawsuit…we will all stand where?

Luk 12:58  If someone brings a lawsuit against you, take pains to settle with him first; otherwise he will take the matter to court, and the judge will turn you over to the bailiff, and the bailiff will throw you in jail.

Luk 12:59  I tell you, you won't get out of there till you have paid the last penny!"
