Rom 8:13  For if you live according to your old nature, you will certainly die; but if, by the Spirit, you keep putting to death the practices of the body, you will live.

 

Colossians 3:5-6 God's anger is coming on those who disobey him

Col 3:5  Therefore, put to death the earthly parts of your nature — sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed (which is a form of idolatry); Col 3:6  for it is because of these things that God's anger is coming on those who disobey him.
