797 THE TEACHER

 

SYNOPSIS: Eph. 4:11 Furthermore, he gave some people as emissaries, some as prophets, some as proclaimers of the Good News, and some as shepherds and teachers. What is the most important job of this listing of jobs in v11? All seem to have a special place. The most important is the teacher, why? Today we are going to look at the eternal role of the teacher. This role has a great role to play in each of our lives. The teacher prepares the student for their final exam. But, remember the teacher does not take your exam for you. You are responsible for that deed yourself.

TEACHERS: G1320 διδάσκαλος didaskalos Thayer Definition: 1) a teacher 2) one who teaches concerning the things of God, and the duties of man

SERVICE: G1248 διακονία diakonia Thayer Definition: 1) service, ministering, especially of those who execute the commands of others 2) of those who by the command of God proclaim and promote religion among men

Revelation 20:12 WHY is the teacher’s job so important.

Rev 20:12  And I saw the dead, both great and small, standing in front of the throne. Books were opened; and another book was opened, the Book of Life; and the dead were judged from what was written in the books, according to what they had done.

Mar 4:2  He taught them many things in parables. In the course of his teaching, he said to them: 

 

PARABLE: G3850 παραβολή parabolē  Thayer Definition: 1) a comparing, comparison of one thing with another, likeness, similitude 2) an example by which a doctrine or precept is illustrated 3) a narrative, fictitious but agreeable to the laws and usages of human life, by which either the duties of men or the things of God, particularly the nature and history of God’s kingdom are figuratively portrayed 4) a parable: an earthly story with a heavenly meaning

Mat 28:19  Therefore, go and make people from all nations into talmidim, immersing them into the reality of the Father, the Son and the Ruach HaKodesh, 

Mat 28:20  and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember! I will be with you always, yes, even until the end of the age."
