851 a world of deceit

 

Scripture. Yirmeyahu (Jer) 9:1-5 You inhabit a world of deceit.

 

SYNOPSIS: Rev 2:5 Therefore, remember where you were before you fell, turn from this sin, and do what you used to do before. Otherwise, I will come to you and remove your menorah from its place—if you don't turn from your sin! To understand this passage of Revelation one must understand the Book of Yirmeyahu (Jer). The reason is ELOHIM always shows HIS love for humans and gives them a way to avoid destruction before it happens. We are living in a world of great deception. We must learn the lesson that King Yoshiyahu (Josiah) teaches us.

Jer 9:5  "You inhabit a world of deceit; deceitfully they refuse to know me," says YEHOVAH.

SWAY – PREVAIL: H1396  גּבר gâbar BDB Definition: 1) to prevail, have strength, be strong, be powerful, be mighty, be great 2) to be strong, mighty

TRUTH: H571 אמת 'emeth BDB Definition: 1) firmness, faithfulness, truth 2) sureness, reliability 3) stability, continuance 4) of divine instruction 5) truth as a body of ethical or religious knowledge

2^nd Kings 22:3-20 I have found the scroll of the Torah in the house of YEHOVAH.

2Ki 22:8  Hilkiyahu the cohen hagadol said to Shafan the secretary, "I have found the scroll of the Torah in the house of YEHOVAH." Hilkiyah gave the scroll to Shafan, who read it.

2^nd Kings 23:1-10 The king stood on the platform and made a covenant.

2Ki 23:2  The king went up to the house of YEHOVAH with all the men of Y'hudah, all those living in Yerushalayim, the cohanim, the prophets and all the people, both small and great; and he read in their hearing everything written in the scroll of the covenant that had been found in the house of YEHOVAH. 

2Ki 23:3  The king stood on the platform and made a covenant in the presence of YEHOVAH to live following YEHOVAH, observing his mitzvot, instructions and regulations wholeheartedly and with all his being, so as to confirm the words of the covenant written in this scroll. All the people stood, pledging themselves to keep the covenant.

Yirmeyahu (Jer) 17:9-10

Jer 17:9  "The heart is more deceitful than anything else and mortally sick. Who can fathom it? 

Jer 17:10  I, YEHOVAH, search the heart; I test inner motivations; in order to give to everyone what his actions and conduct deserve." 

 

They got what their conduct deserved according to YEHOVAH
